平素より泡盛および「泡盛の女王」の活動にご理解とご支援を賜り、心より感謝申し上げます。
泡盛を取り巻く環境や情報発信のあり方が変化するなか、より効果的に泡盛の魅力をお届けするため、運営体制について検討を重ねてまいりました。検討の結果、泡盛の女王の任期を1年から2年に延長することとし、2026年に予定しておりました第40代泡盛の女王選出大会は、2027年に実施することといたしました。
この泡盛の女王の任期延長は、現在活動中の泡盛の女王がこれまでに培ってきた経験やスキルを十分に活かし、泡盛のPR効果を一層高めていくことを目的としたものです。活動期間を延長することで、イベントや情報発信において、より充実した取り組みが可能になると考えております。
一方で、2026年の選出大会への応募を予定され、準備を進めてこられた皆さまには、心よりお詫び申し上げます。泡盛の女王の任期延長及び選出大会の開催時期変更によりご迷惑をおかけいたしますことを深くお詫びするとともに、本決定の趣旨につきましてご理解を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。
なお、第40代泡盛の女王選出大は2027年3月予選、4月本選の開催を予定しており、応募要項や日程等の詳細につきましては、改めて本ホームぺージ、SNS、新聞など各媒体にてご案内いたします。今後も泡盛の魅力をより多くの方へお届けできるよう、努めてまいります。

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your continued understanding of and support for Awamori and the activities of the “Queen of Awamori.”
As the environment surrounding Awamori and approaches to information dissemination continue to evolve, we have carefully reviewed our operational framework in order to convey the appeal of Awamori more effectively. As a result of this review, we have decided to extend the term of the Awamori Queen from one year to two years. Accordingly, the selection competition for the 40th Awamori Queen, originally scheduled for 2026, will be held in 2027.
This extension of the Awamori Queen’s term is intended to fully leverage the experience and skills cultivated by the current Awamori Queen and to further enhance the effectiveness of Awamori promotion. By extending the activity period, we believe it will be possible to implement more substantial and meaningful initiatives in events and information outreach.
On the other hand, we sincerely apologize to those who had planned to apply for the 2026 selection competition and had already begun their preparations. We deeply regret any inconvenience caused by the extension of the Awamori Queen’s term and the change in the timing of the selection competition, and we respectfully ask for your understanding of the intent behind this decision.
Please note that the selection competition for the 40th Awamori Queen is scheduled to take place with preliminary rounds in March 2027 and the final competition in April 2027. Details regarding application guidelines and schedules will be announced in due course through our official website, social media channels, newspapers, and other media. We will continue our efforts to share the appeal of Awamori with an even wider audience.
